Quality and Care

Though all of our products here at Paws with Opulence are made from finest quality materials and to the highest standard, wear and tear unfortunately is beyond our control. In order to keep your products in the best condition below are a few tips that we recommend.

Collars and leads

The most suitable protectants to use are those that help to repair and restore the nubuck whilst protecting the product from future dirt and staining. In order for your products to remain in their best form we suggest that each product is resprayed every 3 months if used daily or twice a year otherwise. All protectants used should be ph neutral water based solutions, suitable for use with animals.

For our leather collars and leads we suggest using a leather finishing balm. This aids in preventing scuffs, seals in colour and restores leather for long lasting effects. We recommend re-applying a leather finishing balm every 3 months if used daily or twice a year otherwise. All protectants used should be ph neutral water based solutions, suitable for use with animals.

Instructions must be throughly read before applying any protectors onto your products. We suggest testing protectors on a small section of your product and once satisfied continuing with a full application.

We must stress however that all of our collars and leads are luxury fashion pieces and should be treated as such. Neither collar or lead should be submerged in water or dirt as this can cause colour transfer and damage the overall appearance of your purchased product. If in any case water does get onto the collar or lead simply blot excess moisture with a tissue and lay flat in a cool dry place. If mud appears on the collar or lead wipe gently with a warm damp cloth and lay flat in a cool dry place.

Please note that after a period of time and continued use, plated metal hardware by nature can loose colour and shine.

Luxury bedding

In order to keep your luxury bedding in the best condition cleaning or light vacuuming should take place on a regular basis. Avoid using soap to clean your product as this can clog the fabric. Microfibre cleaning cloths are extremely effective without soap and are recommended for regular cleaning use. Water and oil based stains can be removed by using most water based animal friendly household cleaning agents. Solvent based cleaners and other chemicals should not be used as this will damage your product and may be harmful to your animal.

Neither the Cambridge Pillow or The Throne should be machine washed, dry cleaned, fully immersed or soaked in water.

We strongly recommend that all stains, spillages and bodily fluids are removed as soon as possible to prevent extensive damage.
